Four & Six Breathing Exercise
Last updated: 8 August 2026
Four & Six collects nothing. This document exists because Apple requires every app to have one (App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(i)), not because there is much to disclose.
What is collected
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party code of any kind in this app.
Network access
The app makes no network requests. It contains no networking code at all. Nothing you do in it can leave your device, because there is no mechanism by which it could.
What is stored, and where
- Your session history — the date, time, length and number of breaths for each completed session — is written to a single file inside the app's own storage on your iPhone. It is included in your device backup, so restoring a phone restores your history. It is not sent anywhere.
- Your settings — such as haptics, sound and cue tone, appearance, keep-awake, Health and reminder preferences — are stored in the app's own preferences on your iPhone.
You can erase your history at any time in Settings → Delete all history. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Apple Health
If you turn on Save to Health, the app writes each completed session to Apple Health as a mindful minutes entry. It is write-only: the app never reads any health data back, and it does not request permission to. Data written to Health is governed by Apple's own privacy controls, and you can revoke access at any time in the Health app.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a single local notification on your device. Local notifications do not involve a server and nothing is transmitted.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
